ABB selects Vetta for customized .NET solutions

Vetta will create the new pricing software for ABB

Vetta Technologies has been chosen by the automation giant ABB to create a new software system that will further optimize ABB's product pricing and quotation.

The system will substitute a legacy application and extend its functionality. It will handle the client orders for ABB's products, select the best price and supplier for its internal parts, automatically perform a quotation, and guide the ABB Sales team to issue a final price.

The new project is part of Vetta's effort to extend its .NET solution portfolio, since the company is a traditional Java/J2EE provider. "Our current alliance with Sun Microsystems is intact - but we must go where our clients want us to, and the .NET platform has evolved dramatically since C# and version 2", explains Yuri Gitahy, CTO at Vetta Technologies.
