Vetta Technologies partners with IBM for mission-critical solutions

Vetta adds IBM and Rational products to its solution portfolio

A traditional offshore provider for software development services, Vetta has been gradually remodelling its business model and creating alliances to widen its services and products portfolio. IBM is now one of them.

The new partnership allows Vetta to sell and integrate IBM software and hardware along with its own customized software applications. Successful IBM products such as Websphere (application server), the Lotus suite (groupware and workflow), and the Rational suite (software quality assurance) become part of Vetta's portfolio from June 2006 on.

"We are essentially a software provider, and our stable operation will allow us to keep low margins and present a more competitive price for IBM products.", explains Thiago Maia, Vetta's CEO. The company has been previously investing in global alliances such as Sun Microsystems (2004) and QNX Software Systems (2005).
